Located on our families organic dairy farm on 200 acres in SE Wisconsin, our doggies love living the farm life, and tagging along with the many farm jobs, such as getting the cows home from their pasture every day for milking, riding along to deliver lunches to the men working in the fields, trips to the pond, exploring the woods, plus they have children of all ages to run and play with besides the many other animals we have on the farm!
Having the acreage allows our dogs to be with us most of the time and then when they need to be contained, they have their very own 15' x 30' heated/AC building with a large outdoor run 3x that size-no kennels here! We believe in care of the adults just as much as the puppies!
All of our dogs have received OFA testing on hips, elbows, heart and eyes.
All of our dogs have completed the recommended genetic health testing with clear results.
On top of that all, our dogs have hearts of gold, because temperament is just as important as genetics.
All of our current dogs have earned the CGC Certification with two so far moving onto Therapy Certification.
MAMA AND PUPPY CARE
Our mamas are fed a nutrient rich diet of high quality food, supplemented with eggs, some organ meats and lots of bones to chew on, along with prenatal supplements when expecting. They also get an oral calcium during labor for extra support and get a postnatal for as long as they are feeding puppies. Our mamas are given sufficient time between litters to ensure they have fully recovered and are back to top notch health condition.
Our dogs give birth inside, where we can monitor and assist if necessary. Always in the middle of the night! :) We start handling the puppies early on, every day, and use ENS (early neurological stimulation) and also Puppy Culture techniques, which introduces the puppies to many different things at the correct ages, to promote confidence and experience and give them the best start possible! I have nieces and nephews ages 0-18 so the puppies get lots of snuggles and cuddles from all ages!
Our puppies are dewormed at the appropriate times and will have a vet health check and first vaccinations before they go to their new homes at 8 weeks of age. Visits are encouraged!
ADOPTION PROCESS
If you'd like to come meet the dogs, we'd love that!
We ask for a non-refundable $300 deposit (which comes off of the puppy price) to be added to either waitlist, and once that is received that will hold your place in picking line. You will then be added to the group messages to receive updates regarding your chosen litter.
Once the puppies are born you will receive weekly updates and we love having visitors at this point too! Puppy pick-day and puppy go-home day will be scheduled sometime during the first few weeks, and balance is due when you come to pick up your puppy. We do not accept checks for the final payment amount, it can be cash or credit or debit card (there will be the small processing fee for credit card).
Puppies are picked out in order of deposits received, at 5-6 weeks old, and puppies are ready to go at 8 weeks of age, complete with a vet check and lots of info to get you and your new puppy started on the right track!
